Threads from the National Tapestry

A historian-hosted series of narrative histories focused on the American Civil War. Episodes examine military campaigns and battles, key wartime figures, and consequential political moments, alongside recurring attention to social and cultural aspects of wartime life (for example prison conditions, the Underground Railroad, music, and civilian experiences). The series is presented by historian and storyteller Fred Kiger.
