Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 February 2026

1. Purpose

Social Discovery (the “Service”) is a web application that lets you explore a catalog of YouTube channels using filters (including language and categories).

The display order is determined by internal criteria and may change over time. It is not a “quality” ranking nor an editorial recommendation.

2. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing and using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read these Terms of Use and you agree to be bound by them. If you do not accept these Terms, do not use the Service.

3. Access to the Service

The Service is available free of charge, subject to availability. The publisher may interrupt, suspend, or restrict access to the Service, including for maintenance, security, or in case of misuse.

4. Third-party data and content (YouTube)

The Service lists channels and information derived from public data or data publicly accessible on YouTube. Videos and content remain hosted and distributed by YouTube.

Social Discovery is not affiliated with YouTube/Google. Trademarks, logos, and third‑party content remain the property of their respective owners.

By clicking a link to YouTube, you leave the Service and are subject to YouTube’s terms and policies.

5. Accuracy of information – no warranty

The publisher strives to provide useful information, but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or continuous availability of the data displayed. Some information may be missing, outdated, or inaccurate (for example: language, categories, statistics, activity).

6. Permitted use and restrictions

You agree to use the Service fairly and not to:

  • use robots, scripts, or any automated process to access the Service or extract data from it on a large scale;
  • circumvent or attempt to circumvent the Service’s security, load‑limiting, or protection measures;
  • disrupt the operation of the Service (unauthorized load testing, attacks, injection, etc.);
  • use the Service for unlawful purposes.

Any large‑scale automated use requires the publisher’s prior written authorization.

7. Intellectual property

Elements specific to the Service (structure, interface, texts excluding third‑party content, code, database, etc.) are protected by intellectual property laws. Any unauthorized reproduction or reuse is prohibited.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect or intangible damages related to the use of the Service (loss of data, loss of business, etc.), nor for content published by third parties on YouTube.

9. Corrections, reports, and de‑indexing requests

If you notice an error (for example: incorrect language/category, duplicate, channel not found) or if you own a channel and wish to request a correction or removal from the catalog, you may contact the publisher.

To process your request, please provide the URL of the channel concerned and the exact nature of the requested correction/removal.

10. Changes to the Terms

The publisher may modify these Terms at any time. The update date is shown at the top of the page. Continued use of the Service after publication of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing amicable resolution, the competent courts will be those with territorial jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
